Duration
At Murdoch University, you can finish your studies at a regular pace, but there are also options available for you to reach graduation in a shorter amount of time.
Normally, undergraduate courses at Murdoch have a duration of 3-5 years, while postgraduate courses can be finished at 6-18 months. But, with their recognition of prior learning, students can receive advanced standing to reduce the amount of study required to finish their degree programme. For instance, you can gain entry to Year 2 of the degree programme you choose, subject to meeting the university’s requirements. You can also complete programmes in around 7 months instead of over 30 months, subject to the university’s approval. This is done by giving students credit for certain units which they have already completed, either through formal or informal learning. Note that formal learning may include previous studies in higher education, vocational education, or adult and community education. On the other hand, informal learning may include on-the-job learning, different kinds of work, and even life experiences.
If you want to know more about this, then see this webpage.
On top of all this, the time of completion of the courses would also depend on whether you’ll be taking a full-time or a part-time degree. Mostly, their degrees offer both study mode options. If you are not sure which study mode would be best for you, then check out our Part-time vs Full-Time blog post!

However, some requirements of the courses may slightly differ, depending on a number of factors. Firstly, academic requirements would depend on which country you completed your previous studies. Secondly, it depends on whether you belong to the domestic or international student type.
What is the same throughout, though, is the English requirement. In order to be admitted at Murdoch, you must meet a minimum standard in English. This may be determined with the use of English proficiency tests, university preparation degree programmes, English language courses, previous tertiary studies, or vocational education.

At Murdoch University Singapore, students pay for the individual units they enrol in, instead of an overall course fee. Therefore, the total cost of the degree programme will vary depending on the units that the students choose.
