Conduct an interview with two (2) persons in their young adulthood (ages between 21 to 35), who are of the same gender but different ethnicity, to find out their main challenges during this stage of life compared to their earlier stages. In exploring the young adults’ thoughts and experiences, compare them with their thoughts and feelings during adolescence or earlier stages.

For example:

• What are some noticeable changes that are taking place, physically, emotionally, cognitively, or socially?

• What was his/her relationship like with their parents, siblings, romantic partner, bosses, and elders in the community?

• Does he/she feel very different from how he/she felt in adolescence?

• What is his/her experience regarding career, marriage, or other major developmental tasks during this stage of life?

Pay particular attention to the cultural difference that has contributed to their young adulthood development. Your write-up (about 2000 words) will be assessed based on the following:

1. Explain by comparing and contrasting the major changes (biological, cognitive, socioemotional) experienced by the two young adults you have interviewed. Identify and

discuss significant changes and/or experiences that the young adults considered aschallenges for this stage of life. Highlight the cultural differences in your discussion. Provide relevant examples to illustrate your point.

2. Applying theories and/or principles you have learnt in the chapters on early adulthood development (e.g., physical, cognitive, and socioemotional development), critically discuss how the developmental processes have contributed to the main challenges faced by the young adults you have interviewed. Provide relevant and concrete examples from your interview data to illustrate your points. (50 Marks)

3. Discuss one of the most interesting/fascinating things about early adulthood that you have learned from this mini (informal) research. In addition, review how your own experience has been similar or different to the two young adults you have interviewed. (20 Marks)
