With reference to your company (or any company of your choice) and its operations, perform a qualitative risk assessment for the selected workplace and its activities.
- Provide a short introduction of your company (or any company of your choice), its operations and the activities that take place.
- The risk assessment cannot include administrative functions (i.e. office work). You should state at least ONE activity that is hazardous (e.g. metal fabrication, chemical handling, factory assembly line, packing, distribution and storage of bulk inventory etc.) to answer this question.
- Perform a risk assessment for the activity/activities described.
- In your risk assessment, you must identify at least FOUR hazards of your choice based on the hazard categories below:
- Physical hazard
- Chemical hazard
- Biological hazard
- Ergonomic hazard
- Psychosocial hazard
- For each hazard, identify the ill-health / injury.
- For each hazard, describe in detail at least ONE existing control measure You should have at least FOUR hazards that require additional control measures.
- Use a 5×5 risk matrix to evaluate the risks. Insert screenshots of the tables used for determining likelihood, severity and risk levels in your answer.
