Based on the assignment requirements provided, here are some comments to help students score well on this assignment:
To score well in this assignment, you should focus on effectively analyzing Teva’s growth strategy using Ansoff’s Matrix and critically evaluating the framework while providing recommendations for overcoming its limitations.
- Question 1 – Ansoff’s Matrix Analysis: Ensure you APPLY Ansoff’s Matrix to the Teva case study to identify and explain the most relevant growth strategy for the organization. Support your analysis with evidence and facts from the case study, including data from Teva’s annual report. Use tables and diagrams to present your findings visually, but remember that they are not included in the word count. Demonstrate your understanding of Ansoff’s Matrix and its application in real-world scenarios like Teva’s situation.
- Question 2 – Critical Analysis and Recommendations: Critically analyze Ansoff’s Matrix by discussing its advantages and disadvantages. Use the case study evidence and external academic sources (minimum 10 sources) to support your analysis. It is crucial to provide a balanced view of the framework’s strengths and weaknesses. Additionally, offer recommendations for overcoming the identified limitations, drawing on insights from your research and understanding of other strategic frameworks. These recommendations should be well-supported and practical.
- Use of Evidence and Case Facts: Throughout your analysis, make sure to refer to specific evidence and facts from the Teva case study. Avoid merely describing the case; instead, use the evidence to support your analysis and conclusions. Cite the case study appropriately using the referencing technique (APA style) and refer to Teva’s annual report for updated information when necessary.
- Word Limit: Pay attention to the word limit. Aim to stay within the recommended word range of 2,000 to 2,200 words. Adjust the length of your answers according to the weightage allocated to each question. Being concise while effectively conveying your ideas is crucial for scoring well.
- Presentation and Use of Tools: Ensure that your analysis is presented coherently and logically. Use headings and subheadings to organize your work, and employ tables and diagrams to present complex information visually. However, keep in mind that these visual aids are not counted towards the word limit.
- Academic Sources: Support your analysis with a minimum of 10 academic sources, in addition to the Teva case study and annual report. These sources should be credible and relevant to your analysis of Ansoff’s Matrix and the recommended framework.
- Focus on Concept Application: Remember to apply the strategic concepts to analyze the information provided in the case study. Avoid summarizing the case but rather demonstrate your understanding of the concepts and their application to real-world situations like Teva’s growth strategy.
By following these guidelines, conducting thorough research, and providing well-structured and evidence-based analyses, you can create a comprehensive case study analysis that showcases your understanding of strategic frameworks and earns you a high grade in the assignment.
