This Assignment has been designed to assess your understanding of the often complex process involved in preparing and training expatriate managers for international assignments. You are expected to demonstrate an understanding of HR procedures within Multinational enterprises and your ability to critically analyse and evaluate those procedures.

Part A

Outline and articulate how organisations can prepare expatriate managers to succeed in an international context, including recommendations for a comprehensive training plan. (45 Marks)

Part B

Critically analyse potential problems that can arise within MNEs when expatriates are insufficiently prepared, and the training programme does not meet their needs, with specific examples where appropriate. (40 Marks)

10 marks will be awarded for the quality of the written work and 5 marks will be allocated for the correct use of the Harvard system.
