This poster is a way to demonstrate your understanding of the concepts of Leadership and Management for Health Professionals. The poster must focus on either human resource management or change management related to leadership and management. Posters are often presented by nurses at conferences. This assessment item will assess the following learning outcomes: critically examine, and reflect on, the characteristics of leadership theory, organisational structures and cultures in health care relevant to nursing leadership and management, and analyse the characteristics of human resource management and change management.
For this assessment task, you are required to create a single side, A3 poster with an accompanying 200-word abstract. On your poster, you need to include the following: a critical analysis of ONE issue in human resource management OR change management with reference to current, peer-reviewed literature, and evidence-based recommendations for practice, education, research and/or policy.
Be creative. Your poster will be a visual illustration of the current leadership/management scenario you have chosen, incorporating all the points listed above. Using text, and a combination of, for example, graphics, photographs, diagrams or graphs you will critically analyse and illustrate your chosen leadership and management issue.
